For the third time in his career, Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson has won the Gold Glove Award. It’s the first time the slugger has taken home the hardware since winning the award in 2018 and 2019 with the Oakland Athletics.
Olson also took home the Fielding Bible Award this past week.
While Gold Glove voting has a reputation for being funky over the years, Olson felt like a no-doubt selection after his 2025 performance. He led all first baseman by a country mile in Defensive Runs Saved — 17 for Olson compared to nine for the next-closest first baseman, Ty France — and also owned the highest Fielding Run Value among his peers.
