A total of seven people were taken to the hospital after officials say they were exposed to high levels of carbon dioxide in Naugatuck.

This all unfolded around 11:30 Saturday night on the 100 block of Allerton Road.
Fire officials say they responded to the home after receiving a call stating that a 5 year-old was experiencing difficulty breathing.
Firefighters and police worked quickly to get everyone out of the home when they arrived at the scene.
Seven people, ranging from children to adults in their fifties, were taken to both Waterbury and St. Mary's Hospitals for treatment. As of Sunday night, all seven of those individuals remain hospitalized.
