Political attacks on Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah have intensified. Discontent is growing within Omar's own party. Meanwhile, ally Congress says that the National Conference (NC) government is not involving Congress in policy decisions and is ignoring the spirit of the alliance.

AICC General Secretary Shah Nawaz Chaudhary has warned that if the NC does not change its attitude, Congress will be forced to reconsider this alliance. The opposition has opened a front against Omar.
