They entered Sunday’s game against the 49ers having allowed 71 points in the previous five quarters and then lost 34-24 to San Francisco.

That’s 105 points allowed in the past nine quarters — a stunning number.

“That s–t is bad, man,” Giants defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux said. “That s- -t is real bad. Everybody has to do a better job. That s- -t is unacceptable.”

Thibodeaux was speaking about a defense that has allowed 33, 38 and 34 points in the past three games.
