Delhi's air quality slightly improved on Monday but remained in the 'very poor' category, with a reading of 319, down from Sunday's 377, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The air quality is likely to remain in the 'very poor' category till Tuesday (November 4), the Air Quality Early Warning System (AQEWS) said.

Data from the CPCB-developed Sameer app showed Wazirpur (385) and Narela (382) as the worst affected areas due to high pollution levels. Most of the national capital's 39 air monitoring stations saw the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the 'very poor' category.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe', according to CPCB standards.
