The high school cross country season concluded on Saturday with the OHSAA state meet at Fortress Obetz.

Maplewood, McDonald, Boardman and Salem sent teams, while there were a number of local individual runners that participated in the sport’s final weekend.

BOYS

Maplewood had the best performance among the local teams. The Rockets finished sixth in the Division IV meet with 268 points, and running rival McDonald came in 14th after scoring 355.

Maplewood’s top runner was Andrew Donaldson, who came in 61st by running 16:53.10. Ethan Nevinski had a 16:55.38 and came in 66th, Micah Sparks had a 17:06.59 for 84th, Nick Blair ended in 112th with a 17:26.21, Tyler McPeak crossed in 122nd after recording a 17:36.60, Zach Suba was 131st with 17:39.94 and Logan Gladd ended the day in 152nd with
