VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. —
When you watch Julia Rose play quarterback, it's almost hard to believe this isn't the sport she started out wanting to play.
“Actually, not making the volleyball team, so, kind of came to me just at summer clinic that they put on and just fell in love with it,” Rose said.
It was at that clinic, Rose fell in love with flag football.
“I just think the atmosphere, always being around football, finally having a girls football team, and it’s just super competitive and super-fast paced, and just love the team that it brings,” Rose said.
Rose joined the team as a freshman, starting out as a wide receiver, then made the move to quarterback as a sophomore. Rose has blossomed into a star for head coach Daniel Davis.
