Bihar is gearing up for a high-stakes political battle this November with Assembly elections set to decide the fate of its 243 constituencies.

The Election Commission (EC) has announced a two-phase polling schedule: The first covering 121 seats on November 6 and the second including 122 on November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Voting arrangements and facilitation

The EC has implemented a number of measures in order to facilitate voting, particularly for the elderly, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and first-time voters. Key points include:

Each voter will receive a Voter Information Slip (VIS) at least five days before the poll. It will include information on the polling site, day, and time.
