TULALIP, Wash. — The FBI and Tulalip Police Department are continuing their investigation into the death of Mary Johnson-Davis after human remains discovered in North Snohomish County were positively identified as the 44-year-old Tulalip Tribes member who disappeared nearly five years ago.
"We are saddened by the news. Our hearts are heavy, also because so many loving people are feeling sadness," her estranged husband said in a text to KING 5.
The cause and manner of death have not been determined, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.
"We are in disbelief that we will never see her again. We all wanted her to come home. She is now being brought back to us, but not like we hoped," her husband said. "It feels like we are in a dream, wanting to wake up and see her.
