Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Police have launched an intensive investigation and formed seven special teams to apprehend three men accused of abducting and gang-raping a college student in a shocking incident near the Coimbatore airport.

The attack occurred late on Sunday night when the victim was speaking with her male friend inside a car parked behind the airport premises. According to police sources, three unidentified men approached the vehicle, assaulted the young man, and forcibly abducted the woman.
