HOUGHTON — Despite Junior midfielder Ryley Winrich scored her first goal of the season, the Michigan Tech soccer team ultimately fell 3-1 to Wisconsin-Parkside at Kearly Stadium on Friday night.
Huskies coach Melissa Kuhar was happy with a lot of what she saw from the Huskies in the first half of the game, which saw both teams go into break tied 0-0.
“I think in the first half we probably had 70 percent of the possession or more, so going into half tied was awesome,” said Kuhar. “They came out of halftime a little more high-pressed, and I don’t think that game was a 3-1 result. We responded when they scored the second.
“We still fought until the end, and I’m proud of the girls implementing what we worked on all week and trying to get more attacking.”
