GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gator volleyball team finished a three-match road stretch on Sunday with a loss to South Carolina in four sets.
The 25th ranked Gators (13-8, 8-3 SEC) had more kills (63-52) and assists (57-48) than the Gamecocks (9-13, 3-9 SEC) but the Gators committed a season-high 15 service errors. The Gamecocks only committed seven service errors.
Gator Alexis Stuckey had 45 assists, 12 digs, and 5 kills to pick up her 13th double-double of the season.
Gamecocks Elise Marchal led the way for them with 11 kills and hit at a .409 hitting clip.
The Gators will have their next two matches at home when they welcome in No. 2 Texas and No. 9 Texas A&M.
They will play Texas on Friday starting at 7 p.m. and will play Texas A&M next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
