NEW DELHI: 20 people were killed and several others injured after a tipper lorry collided head-on with a state-run bus in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district on Monday morning. The bus, belonging to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), was travelling from Tandur to Hyderabad when it was struck by a gravel-laden truck near Chevella. According to police, the truck was coming from the wrong direction at high speed when it rammed into the bus, crushing its front and spilling gravel over the vehicle. The impact left passengers trapped inside, prompting a large-scale rescue operation involving earthmovers and emergency personnel. Officials said among the dead were ten women and the bus driver.
