It's never easy for me to track down Chris Edwards of Catch a Trophy Fishing Guide Service. I got lucky as he just got off the water after filming a segment for television's Day Tripper, which airs on Channel 13 in the Houston area. Here's what he had to say about the bass fishing on the lake.

"Fall is finally here! Fishing has been fantastic with the cooler temperatures, finally! This has been the warmest October that I can remember! We just got one of our first good cool fronts this fall. The lake level is about a foot low. The current lake level is 200.05 feet. Normal pool for the lake is 201 feet. The water temperatures are running 73 degrees in the morning, and by the afternoon, it's 76 degrees on the main lake."
