BROOKLYN — The MHSAA state cross country finals were hosted at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.
Locally, the area was once again well-represented by individuals and teams. The Three Rivers boys were just a single point away from finishing inside the Top 2 for Division 2, ending the season in 11th place out of 27 official teams competing in D2.
The Cats improved on their seeding, which was 17th headed into the finals.
"It was an awesome day of racing and I couldn't have asked more out of our boys competing on the biggest stage," Three Rivers coach Jason Muckel said. "We are so proud of everything they have accomplished this season and finishing on a high note."
Charlie Brauer led the Wildcats with a 42nd place finish, running a new personal best time of 16:14 in the race. Jo
