ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson has taken home the Gold Glove award at first base for the third time in his career, Rawlings announced Sunday.

Shortstop Nick Allen fell short as a finalist for the award. St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn beat out Allen for his first career Gold Glove award.

Though he’s earned the award twice before (2018-19) with the Athletics, this Gold Glove was Olson’s first as a Brave.

The veteran led the NL first basemen with 17 defensive runs saved , equaling the highest total by a first baseman over the past 15 seasons.
