Winnebago County Clerk and Recorder Lori Gummow has been honored with the Commitment to Service Award for her dedication to public service.

The award was presented Oct. 23 during a ceremony in Rockford, according to a community announcement. The event was presided over by Zone President Tina Dolder, Putnam County Clerk and Recorder and 17th Judicial Circuit Court Associate Judge Donna Honzel.

The Commitment to Service Award recognizes clerks and recorders who demonstrate integrity, leadership and dedication in serving their constituents. It acknowledges their essential duties in recordkeeping and elections administration, as well as their commitment to safeguarding democracy and strengthening public trust, according to the announcement.
