NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC/WIS) - Charleston International Airport officials released video of an incident involving U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, who’s accused of verbally abusing airport police.
A Charleston County Aviation Authority Police incident report provided by the Charleston International Airport states the situation unfolded early Thursday morning, when Mace, who is running for governor of South Carolina, arrived at the airport.
The report states police had been asked to escort Mace from the front curb ticketing area to her gate and that she would be arriving in a white BMW at 6:30 a.m. Police said they were in place at 6:20 a.m. to await her arrival, but at 6:35 a.m., they were told she was running “about 15 minutes late.”
