DJ Diplo decided to make a wild claim about his past involvement with both Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau as the new couple confirm their relationship.

The unexpected romance between pop star Katy, 41, and the former Canadian prime minister, 53, has fascinated fans in the past few months after the duo were photographed together at dinner in July.

And it seems Diplo was also intrigued by it as he quipped that he had dated both of them.

The Lean On Hitmaker, 46, found himself on the topic when discussing Quebec on a podcast, which he called a ‘horny’ place and led to host Nayeema Raza referencing Canada’s ‘hot prime minister’ – now Mark Carney, and previously Trudeau.

‘And now Katy Perry is dating Justin Trudeau – pretty fire,’ responded Diplo on the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast.
