A man is in serious but stable condition after he was shot and stabbed during an argument with a man and woman late Sunday night behind a Westside gas station, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Police were called to the Sunoco gas station on Kings Road, two blocks northwest of Myrtle Avenue North, just after 11 p.m. Sunday.

According to JSO, officers learned as they were headed to the scene that a man had shown up at a hospital, saying he’d been shot at the gas station.

More officers then went to the hospital, but they haven’t been able to speak with the victim yet because of his condition.
