A school in Erskine has been celebrated by Renfrewshire councillors after its performance in an inspection earlier this year. ‌

Elected members noted the key strengths of Rashielea Primary School at the education and children's services policy board on Thursday. ‌

Education Scotland graded the school 'very good' across leadership of change; learning, teaching and assessment; ensuring wellbeing, equality and inclusion; and raising attainment and achievement in August. ‌

SNP council leader Iain Nicolson, who represents Erskine and Inchinnan, said at the meeting: "It's a highly regarded school in Erskine, it always has been.
