PACOLET, S.C. (WSPA) -- A section of West Main Street in Pacolet was dedicated to the late James Lambert Junior, also known as Pee Wee, over the weekend, honoring his decades of service to the community.

The road dedication ceremony took place from Highway 150 to 176, with Representative Dennis Moss presenting the dedication on behalf of the General Assembly. Lambert was celebrated for his significant contributions to youth sports and community service, which have shaped generations of athletes.

"He was there for everybody. He was here. He made a great impact for us. For the whole community," said Pacolet Mayor Ned Camby, reflecting on Lambert's influence.
