KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police are investigating after a person was shot at a gas station early Monday morning.

Kansas City police dispatch said they believe the person who was shot is an employee at the gas station.

The shooting was reported just after 5:45 a.m. Monday at a Phillips 66 on Prospect Avenue near Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard in Kansas City.

Dispatch said the victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been announced.
