A one-eyed senior dog was facing an uncertain future after being rescued from a hoarder in Brooklyn, but one woman changed everything.

Igor was one of more than 80 dogs rescued from a hoarding case at an apartment in the Mill Basin neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The dogs were rescued in an alarming condition. It was clear they had been living a difficult life. They were covered in filth, matted and, in a few cases, even worse than that.

Igor was one of nine dogs taken in by Best Friends Animal Society in New York City . At 14, he was the oldest of the group and quite possibly the smallest. He also only had one eye , meaning his vision was limited at best.

The plan was for Igor to get the medical care he needed before a period of recuperation. He would then be put up for adoption. Ho
