THRISSUR: The 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced at a press conference held in Thrissur. Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian announced the winners. Veteran actor Mammootty bagged the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as Kodumon Potty in Bramayugam. Shamla Hamza was named Best Actress for her powerful role in Feminichi Fathima.

Lijomol Jose won the award for Best Character Actress for Nadanna Sambhavam, while Soubin Shahir (Manjummel Boys) and Siddharth Bharathan (Bramayugam) shared the title of Best Character Actor. Actors Asif Ali (Kishkindha Kaandam), Tovino Thomas (ARM), Jyothirmayi (Bougainvillea), and Darshana Rajendran (Paradise) received Special Mentions from the jury for their commendable performances.
