FARGO — When Reed Sigmund was a kid growing up in north Fargo, he dreamed of being an astronaut.

“That was my one goal. Turns out I’m terrible at math, so it was never going to be a good fit," he said with a laugh.

Instead, Sigmund found a different kind of launchpad — one that eventually propelled him to the stage of Minneapolis’ Children’s Theatre Company, where he’s now performing one of literature’s most iconic misfits.

This year marks the 13th time CTC has produced "Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" which the company originally commissioned and premiered in 1994. It also marks the eighth time CTC Acting Company member Reed Sigmund has portrayed the green, grouchy title character.
