A literacy leader, an emergency doctor and a rock singer raising money for cancer treatments are among the inspiring Tasmanian residents nominated for the 2026 Australian of the Year awards.
Health literacy leader Dr Rosie Nash joins mental health advocate Mitch McPherson, musician and fundraiser Tyler Richardson and emergency doctor Dr Jorian Kippax as finalists for Tasmania's top honour.
Four nominees from four categories will go on to represent Tasmania in the national Australian of the Year Awards, to be presented on Australia Day eve in January 2026.
