Undefeated Autumn Glow will be Chris Waller’s main hope in the Golden Eagle at Randwick after considering his other big guns have not had the preparation for the $10 million race.

Autumn Glow was one of eight horses Waller had nominated for the Golden Eagle (1500m) on Saturday and will have only Lord Penman joining the unbeaten mare on Saturday.

Waller said his other ‘big guns’ Lady Shenandoah had been reserved for The Russell Balding Stakes (1300m) on Saturday’s program while Angel Capital is Melbourne bound.

Unbeaten in seven starts, Autumn Glow was a last start winner of the Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) at Randwick on October 4.

She has since been back to the trials, finishing fourth over 1050m at Randwick on October 20.
