SALT LAKE CITY – Firefighters helped a person who fell approximately 10 feet onto a roof in Kaysville Saturday night.
The Kaysville Fire Department said the person had injuries to their head, neck and back as a result of the fall.
“The incident presented a complex challenge for our team as they worked to maintain spinal immobilization while safely bringing the patient from the roof to the ground,” the fire department said on Facebook.
The Layton City Fire Department brought a ladder truck to the scene, then the injured person was secured in a Stokes basket. Firefighters said the person was lowered to the ground while a technician accompanied them.
“We wish the patient a full and healthy recovery and keep them in our thoughts,” the Kaysville Fire Department said.
