The Department of Posts, under the Ministry of Communications, concluded the implementation phase of the Special Campaign 5.0, conducted from 2nd to 31st of last month. Under the campaign, the Ministry of Communications established a new standard for optimization of freed over 23 thousand square feet of office space and over 57 lakh rupees revenue earned from sale of scrap and waste materials.

The campaign emphasized on sustained cleanliness, efficient record management, timely disposal of pending references, and optimum utilization of space. During the Special campaign 5.0, the Ministry resolved one lakh public grievances, weeded out over 17 thousand old files and e-files and conducted over one lakh Cleanliness campaign drives across nationwide.
