A Henderson man is accused of stealing a power tool from a hardware store in Evansville.
Deputies were called to the Ace Hardware store on Pollack Avenue just before noon on Saturday.
41-year-old Joseph Courbat was stopped as he was leaving the store, allegedly with a router in his pants.
Courbat told deputies that he was walking back to pay for it.
He later admitted that he intended to steal the tool so he could sell it and have his power service reconnected.
He is charged with organized retail theft, among other charges.
