A man’s car is dangerously perched over a suspected mineshaft in a bakery car park and remains at risk of disappearing beneath the surface.
Images taken by the owner of the Mini, Malcolm McKenzie, show the vehicle half submerged in a hole in the ground behind Berrymans bakery in the town of Redruth in Cornwall.
Emergency services were called to the strange scene on Saturday, November 1, after Malcolm was alerted by a neighbour at around 2.30pm.
He initially thought it might be a minor issue, only to discover the front end of his vehicle suspended "about four foot in the air".
