CLEVELAND, Ohio — When movement meets music and poetry, a new language emerges. Choreographer and Cleveland native Dianne McIntyre brings that home in her celebrated work “In the Same Tongue” presented by DANCECleveland on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Playhouse Square.
The evening-length production, created by McIntyre, features an original score by celebrated composer Diedre Murray and poetry by Obie Award-winning playwright Ntozake Shange. The 80-minute work unites dancers and musicians in a performance that weaves together the language of music, movement and memory.
