CLEVELAND, Ohio — After the first six games of the high school football regular season, the Green Bulldogs found themselves in a deep hole with a 1-5 record.
Senior running back and linebacker Evan Reed was injured for the first half of the season and had just returned, so the seniors decided to call a players-only meeting.
“I feel like some of our guys, they rally more behind player-led action,” Reed said about the meeting. “When they see guys working hard, and guys believing in us, our own teammates, I think it makes them work harder than just a coach saying it.”
