Hyderabad, Nov 3: Telangana is set to witness a prolonged spell of rainfall until November 7, after which the state is likely to experience a sharp drop in temperatures and cold wave conditions, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Officials attributed the continuing wet weather to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal and an upper air cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha , which are drawing moisture into the region. The IMD forecast predicts intermittent light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms across several districts, with total rainfall accumulation expected to reach around 18 mm between November 2 and 7.
