HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Nearly 2,500 Myrtle Beach voters cast their ballots early for Tuesday's municipal election, statistics from the South Carolina Election Commission show.
Early voting started Oct. 20 and ended on Oct. 31. The numbers show that 39,158 South Carolina voters participated in early voting across the Palmetto State.
In total, 3,338 Horry County voters cast their ballots early. The city of Myrtle Beach, whose election includes council members and mayor, makes up a majority of those with 2,473 votes.
On election day, there are more than a dozen polling places to vote in person in Myrtle Beach. Those include: • Horry County Complex, 1201 21st Ave. North • Mary C. Canty Recreation Center, 971 Canal Street • Fire station No.5, 804 79th Ave. North • Fire station
