If you want quality skiing on the East Coast, come to New England.

That was the big takeaway from SKI Magazine’s recent ranking of the top 20 ski resorts in the East . Of the 20 resorts featured, 15 were in New England.

That includes the two ski resorts at the top of the list. No. 1 was Saddleback Mountain in Maine. No. 2 was Sugarloaf Mountain, also in Maine.

Bretton Woods was ranked as the top resort in New Hampshire (No. 5). Meanwhile, Killington Resort was tops among Vermont destinations (No. 6). No other New England states were represented in the list.

In its rankings, SKI Magazine praised Saddleback Mountain for its on-slope experience as well as the emphasis on the local community.
