Neighbours have said they are ‘devastated’ and ‘all in shock’ by the death of a ‘kind and lovely’ mother-of-two who was stabbed to death at her home last week.
Dickiesa Nurse, 42, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in Tulse Hill, south London. Police and paramedics rushed to McCormick House after reports of a disturbance last Monday.
Robert Sabat, 59, has been charged with her murder. He is also accused of threatening a paramedic with an offensive weapon.
He appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody. Neighbours have laid flowers on the doorstep of Dickiesa’s ground floor flat where she had lived for more than a decade.
