An 'emo' deer was spotted in a Texas town, but wildlife experts say he's fine

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Residents in Lago Vista, Texas, have recently expressed concerns to their local police department about a deer who is seemingly embracing its "emo era," officials said.

The deer was spotted "proudly wearing a hammock tangled in his antlers" in late October, according to a Facebook post from the Lago Vista Police Department. Footage of the deer shows portions of the hammock draping down both sides of its head, prompting comparisons to the layered, asymmetrical hair styles associated with some emo musicians.

"While his 'forest-core fashion' has raised some eyebrows, rest assured, he’s totally fine," the police department's wrote in its post.
