After months of input from people in the community, there's something new for families to look forward to along the River Parks trail. The city is set to open a brand-new playground near the old outdoor restaurant that was connected to Blue Rose.
Brand-new playground to be built along Riverside
WHERE WILL IT BE LOCATED?
The new playground will be at 17th and Riverside.
"You know, River Parks is 51 years old," said Joe Medlin, the Director of Outdoor Experience for River Parks Authority. "This was the original section of trail that started with River Parks. And, you know, after 51 years, we've renovated it many times, but we're back to another renovation of kind of refreshing, revitalizing, bringing good people to good places. And I think this area needs a playground."
