A wide area of the UK has been issued a yellow weather warning by the Met Office as 14 areas are warned to brace for "heavy and persistent rain".
The warning comes into force on Tuesday at midnight, and will last until Wednesday at 6am. Areas affected can expect heavy rainfall throughout much of the day - with up to 50mm of rain forecast to fall in some places.
The Met Office warning states: "Following recent bouts of wet weather , rain is expected to turn more extensive and heavy at times during Tuesday afternoon."
It adds: "20-30 mm of rain is expected widely, with some exposed south facing hills of the Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor likely to see in excess of 50 mm."
