India’s agri exports grew by about 12 per cent during the first half of the current financial year with shipments of products such as non-basmati rice, buffalo meat and pulses among others registering an increase during the period on higher demand.
The shipment value of agri products monitored by Apeda grew to $13.936 million during April-Sept 2025-26, up from $12.475 billion in the corresponding previous year.
Non-basmati shipments grew 27.6 per cent in value at $2.87 billion during H1FY26 over corresponding previous year’s $2.25 billion as volumes registered a growth of around 51 per cent to over 7.01 lakh tonnes (4.65 lakh tonnes in the corresponding previous year).
