GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers' worst fears have been realized. Tight end Tucker Kraft tore his ACL during Sunday's loss to the Panthers, according to multiple reports.

Kraft was the Packers' leading pass-catcher, a third-year pro who was in the midst of a breakout season. His 7 catches for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers were a career-best.

Quarterback Jordan Love had leaned heavily on Kraft this season in clutch situations. He represented a sure pair of hands that could turn short passes into impressive gains.

Kraft's injury will inevitably shift the focus to backup tight end Luke Musgrave. He's dealt with injuries of his own within the last year, but has been active for every game this season. He tallied 3 catches for 34 yards on Sunday.
