ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready, sky-watchers as the second supermoon of 2025 is set to light up our skies in November.
The November full moon is traditionally called the Beaver Moon, a name that dates back to the time when beavers were busiest preparing their lodges for winter.
Not only will it be a full moon, it will be the second in a trio of supermoons.
November Supermoon
On Nov. 5, 2025, the full moon will reach peak illumination at 8:19 a.m. EST. Because it coincides with the moon’s closest approach to Earth, this will be one of the biggest and brightest moon of the year.
For the best experience, plan to watch on the evening of Nov. 4 or the night of Nov. 5 as the moon rises in the east. That’s when it will appear especially large and golden on the horizon.
