Mangaluru, Nov 3: In a significant move against illegal cattle trade, the Rural police intercepted a goods vehicle transporting a cow without proper permission in Malluru village, near the Badriyanagar area, under the jurisdiction of the Rural police station.
Acting on specific intelligence, assistant sub-inspector Arun Kumar, accompanied by a police team, stopped and inspected a goods vehicle at Kanjilakodi in Malluru. The vehicle, driven by Joseph Nilesh D’Adda and accompanied by Majid from Kannur, was found carrying a cow from Kannur to Kalai without any valid authorisation.
