CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR) responded to a destructive residential fire on W. Evita Lane in Dunnellon on Saturday evening.
At approximately 8:04 p.m., firefighters arrived to find a 2,500-square-foot home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters say an immediate threat was posed by a nearby recreational vehicle, which required action from the arriving crews to protect it from the intense heat and fire spread.
Crews from multiple stations quickly collaborated to attack the blaze. Their combined efforts successfully brought the fire under control by 8:45 p.m., effectively preventing the spread of the flames beyond the immediate property line and saving the threatened RV.
