A lot of good things came out of the Bruins’ 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, not the least of which was a third line that looks like it could be a handful for opponents.

The hard-nosed, versatile Mark Kastelic was bumped up to play with Fraser Minten and Tanner Jeannot and, though the trio did not get on the scoreboard, the line took it to the Canes, grinding them down with offensive zone possession time and setting the tone for the next men up. The trio outshot their opponents, 9-4, and had a decisive edge in scoring chances, 11-5, according to Natural Stat Trick. At 6-foot-4, 234 pounds, Kastelic joins 6-2, 221-pound Jeannot and 6-2, 204-pound Minten to create a physically imposing unit.
