The Doon Valley Mahanagar Udyog Vyapar Mandal (DVMUVM) plans to approach the district administration to seek a permanent restriction on the entry of four-wheelers and three-wheelers in Paltan Bazaar. This decision comes in response to concerns raised by shoppers who find it challenging to navigate the market due to traffic congestion caused by four-wheelers.
Shoppers have urged the authorities to address this issue and take steps to alleviate traffic congestion, especially with the wedding season approaching.
It’s important to mention that during Deepawali this year, the authorities successfully banned the entry of both four-wheelers and three-wheelers in the market, which greatly reduced traffic congestion during that period.
