Republican state Sen. Mary Beth Carozza is urging lawmakers to take stock of the Marylanders in opposition to offshore wind , arguing that it will disrupt tourism and commerce on the Eastern Shore .

“Our growing Stop Offshore Wind Movement is standing up for the people of Maryland in strong opposition to the State’s costly offshore wind project and to protect tourism jobs, commercial fishing, the environment, homeland security, and Maryland taxpayers,” Carozza, a representative of the Lower Eastern Shore, said in a statement Friday.
