Five Kansans are among the 456 people from around the world competing for $4.56 million in Netflix's "Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2."

The competition series is based on the Netflix smash-hit drama "Squid Game" – a fictional South Korean series in which contestants compete in a series of schoolyard games that will kill them if they lose, CNN reports. The first season of the competition premiered in November 2023.
